CRACOW AND ITS SURROUNDINGS
STANDARD PROGRAMME:

Visit of the Wawel hill, afterwards walk down towards the main square of Rynek Glowny with the Sukienice and Our Lady church
free time for lunch
Visit of the Jewish quarter of Kazimierz and entrance at Remuh synagogue.
Time for a drink on a terrace before returning to the hotel
DAY 2 Lunch pakket from the hotel
in the morning AUSCHWITZ (this visit generally lasts until about 3PM).
in the afternoon then visit at the SALT MINE of WIELIZSKA
Dinner in the city center and free time

DAY 3 Mogelijke excursies:
Possible excursions:
1) A more extensive visit at Kazimierz, for instance on the theme of the Schindler’s list movie, which also covers the Podgorze area with the Schindler factory and former getto concentration camp, the Jewish quarter with special attention to the various synagogues, cemeteries, the scenes from the movie, etc…
2) ZAKOPANE (the only mountain town of Poland at the foor of the Tatra range) with a guided walk and a bit of free time on the local market (traditional sheep products and souvenirs), also possible to take a short funicular ride towards a viewing point to the Tatra mountains…
Typical meal on the spot in a «Karczma” restaurant including a folklore show and drink.
Return to Cracow.
If the weather allows, you can also go for a hike on the mountain trails of the Tatra, however you will need at least 4-5 hours for it to be worth the effort. On request it’s also possible to spend a night at Zakopane
3) Wroclaw, capital of Polish Silesia, situated on the banks of the river Oder with beautiful buildings in the historical center, covered market hall, etc…
A visit of the interiors of the famous university can also be arranged
On request it’s also possible to spend a night at WROCLAW
4) Czestochowa, the most sacred place in Poland with the miracle Icon of the “Black Madonna”, which is worshipped by pilgrims from all over the world. Of course we also take the time for a guided visit through the Jasna Gora monastary itself (about 1,5hours).
